The Tunisian Dar Blockchain initiative has announced the organization of the first edition of the “Blockchain Innovation Month” program in Tunisia, starting this summer. The program will run between June 1st and July 10th, and will include three main tracks, tailored for developers, creatives, and entrepreneurs.
The first track is called “Empower X-Hack”, a multi-day hackathon organized in collaboration with Esprit University and Impact Partners. The hackathon will bring together developers, IT technicians, engineers, marketing specialists, and entrepreneurs to develop blockchain projects aimed at achieving one or more of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The second track is geared towards creatives and artists, consisting of a bootcamp followed by a three-day hackathon to produce and deploy ‘Evolvable NFTs’ on the Chameleon platform. Parts of this track will be hosted by the Digital College in Tunisia, while other parts will take place on Discord.
The third and final track comprises a series of three meetups led by Web3 experts, discussing the latest developments, trends, and use cases of Web3 technologies around the world.
In addition to the aforementioned academic partners, the program receives support from the Hashgraph Association developing the Hedera blockchain, the Massa blockchain, and Lightency, a company active in the energy tokenization space.
In a statement on LinkedIn, Dar Blockchain initiative says that this program encapsulates its mission to “cultivate the Web3 ecosystem across Tunisia and Africa, positioning the country as a global blockchain hub.”
